Why you should do Yoga?
For general yoga benefits: Yoga as a practice offers an incredible number of benefits to the practitioner. It builds muscular and bone strength, while also improving flexibility, posture and balance. Yoga poses such as twists helps to keep joints and spinal discs lubricated, which keeps them working better, longer. Regular yoga practice supports virtually every system in the body, including the circulatory system, the respiratory system, the immune system, the endocrine system, the digestive system, the lymphatic system and the central nervous system. Yoga also helps to regulate bodily processes such as the cyclical rhythms responsible for our sleep/wake cycles, women monthly menstrual cycles, and internal reactions to the seasons. There are also mental/emotional benefits, such as feelings of calm, non-reactivity to stressors, and mental clarity.
